Using numeric suffix of filenames written by the camera on a flash card is not equivalent to camera's shutter count (the suffix resets to 0 after 9999). The HomeBrew Instalation wil begin, it will install all necessary files for your MAC to be able to run gphoto2. The gphoto2 instalation should complete with no errors.
